KAT-TUNを脱退してまでも、ソロになりたかった理由は？ ソロになりたかったというのでは、ないです。その時、その時やりたいと思っている事をやっていた結果がこうなった What was the reason that you wanted to go solo, even at the expense of quitting KAT-TUN? I’ve never wanted to go solo. I just did what I wanted as and when I wanted which lead to this result.

When you and me first appeared in a interview I was really happy.
Kamenashi: How old is Yamada right now?
Yamada: I'm 16 years old.
Kamenashi: Just 16 years old?! So young! (laughs) When was the first time we appeared in the POTATO for the first time?
Yamada: I was Jr. for about 2 years at that time so... It must have been 2006 ne.
Kamenashi: Ah, is that so? It should have happened sooner, but it never did.
Yamada: Yes. I also though that magazine and TV interviews would be really hard to do, but with my first interview I was really happy. When was your first appearance Kamenashi-kun?
Kamenashi: It was for the drama "3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei" I guess that was about 9 years ago. At that time I was still a middle school student and I had no idea what to do for work, I guess Yamada is already grown-up now.
Yamada: No no, it's not like that.
Kamenashi: Within Hey!Say!JUMP how do the interviews go?
Yamada: Usually BEST (Older Team) is very loud and act like little children, and 7 is a bit more calm.
Kamenashi: Yabu (Kota) is a BEST member right?
Yamada: That's right.
Kamenashi: I worked with Yabu once before (He points at a certain height) Yabu was like this small. But I guess he was a bit younger than Yamada now is? Yes, it's a bit scary how things worked out.
Yamada: No, no not at all... I wonder how KAT-TUN acts while shooting.
Kamenashi: We go trough life with high speed (laughs) Everyone is really energetic, so we go trough the shooting really fast.
Yamada: That's really great ne. We're a very time robbing group.
Kamenashi: Well, you are with 10 people (laughs). It's 25 years ago since POTATO had its first anniversary.
Yamada: That's quite a history ne~
Kamenashi: I feel like a total adult now (laughs). But I guess Yamada still has a long way to go.
Yamada: That's right. For me, being 25 years old... Right now I'm still a kid so it is unthinkable.
Kamenashi: I think 25 years is a great anniversary.
Yamada: Must be a great feeling.
When doing drama's is hard, we just laugh.
Kamenashi: Do you remember when we met earlier? When you were together with (Nakajima) Yuuto I suddenly felt like playing with you guys in the hotel room right? You have no idea how dirty that sounds my dear Kame-chan.
Yamada: I remember that, Yuuto-kun and I were still in elementary school at that time, and jumping on the beds. All of a sudden Kamenashi-kun came in, "You guys are loud!" and I thought I had done something wrong. But I was really glad when you were nice to me.
Kamenashi: My feelings completely twisted when I saw 2 cute little people being all fired up, and I though we were going to ake it this tour. Even though I was alone on the bed, you would go byon byon sound made while you jump up and down (laughs). Yeah, you were cute.
Yamada: Right now this a precious memory. But then, several times in the tour, KAT-TUN looked so cool, I really wanted to study that.
Kamenashi: Really? Thank you.
Yamada: It's always really loud backstage.
Kamenashi: Yeah. The Dome concerts are probably a little flashy this year. I've never been to a JUMP concert, how does it make you feel?
Yamada: I usually feel a lot of pressure on my chest (laughs).
Kamenashi: Ah that's true, but you're young! Where did you had your first concert?
Yamada: Tokyo Dome.
Kamenashi: That's great isn't it. Were there any special effects used, or was it pure?
Yamada: Special affects were used!
Kamenashi: With our first concert there were no special effects used, only the 'don'-sound (laughs).
Yamada: Really?!
Kamenashi: Yeah. I think JUMP had a very favorable start from the beginning.
Yamada: Thank you very much! I really appreciate the people backstage.
Kamenashi: That is a very adult like comment na~ (laughs) The first time we worked together was for the drama "One Pound Gospel 1 Pound no Fukuin" do you remember that?
Yamada: Of course I remember. As a matter of fact, I was really nervous. The air on set was really cold around Kamenashi-kun with who I've never spoken with. But when I came to the set, you talked to me and were very nice. I was so happy.
Kamenashi: From my perspective, I thought about Yamada as very adult-like from the beginning. So as senpai and kouhai we could star in the same drama together.
Yamada: Thank you very much. However, let me take this opportunity to say this, when I first saw Kamenashi-kun acting strange on set I had to laugh (laughs).
Kamenashi: Yamada and I pulled weird faces to the camera together~
Yamada: That's right. It helped to get free from the cool stuff (laughs).
Kamenashi: It's a look I never show in TV or magazines. (laughs) To bad, I'd love to see that Kame!
Yamada: It happened in a flash, I was not prepared for it (laughs) ... But I think in the end I was able to relax thanks to Kamenashi-kun (laughs).
Kamenashi: How did that happen in the other drama's?
Yamada: When I was practicing my dialogue's together with Kamenashi-kun, and I wanted to change something, you would say "that's great!" so I thought about it. I think it's really cool not to say exactly what's in the script. So I now able to break the script a little thanks to that decision.
Kamenashi: I think Yamada can be really proud on himself, making such a decision when he's 14 years old.
I always go in style.
Kamenashi: When Yamada arrived he told everyone, "I'm here".
Yamada: Yes... In my mind I thought it was a bit to much.
Kamenashi: That's right. But isn't it good to be cheerful? (laughs)
Yamada: It is?
Kamenashi: Even since I was a child I'm reserved by nature, so I'm always in the position of self-restraint. Now I'm a grown up I can finally speak my mind a bit more. Even right now, when I'm discussing with other members I'm not sure if I really pull everything out?
Yamada: Ah I know! Whenever we listen to the song I always think, "maybe this song would be better like this"...
Kamenashi: I have those kind of feelings too.
Yamada: Whats should we talk about next?
Kamenashi: I feel better now... Maa, I think we should go to Wagamama Japanese noodle shop, has shops all over the world also in the Netherlands 8D never been there though :l Should do that sometime 8D sometime. I should take you with me so you can see the different side of me.
Yamada: Now, I'll listen to Kamenashi-kun's words, and than we'll be able to go in the future!
Kamenashi: That's okay... But after all that's an adult comment (laughs). Yabu and Takaki (Yuya) act more like kids (laughs). By the way, when will be JUMP's next big move?
Yamada: The concert tour will start soon! (This interview was taken before the tour)
Kamenashi: You will do a series of concerts for a week in Yokohama. I'll see if I can find the time to watch one.
Yamada: Please come by!
Kamenashi: We should play sometime in private Kame... Really. No. Just. No x_x HE'S YOO YOUNG AND YOU'VE GOT JIN TO PLAY WITH D8< Okay. Going on with the interview, I mean we only planned this for the POTATO but would you like me to drive with you somewhere? (laughs)
Yamada: That's okay. But didn't you originally promised to play with my and Yuto-kun YamaJima ~w~ when we got in High School?
Kamenashi: Ah, that's right.
Yamada: We are both in High School now (laughs).
Kamenashi: I'll contact one of you two some time.
Yamada: Ah, it might be impossible.
Kamenashi: What do you mean?
Yamada: To get such an invitation from a senpai is such...
Kamenashi: It's okay! I rather see someone in real person than just hearing a voice, we just "go somewhere" and so we come more in contact!
Yamada: Is that really okay?
Kamenashi: Sure anytime! I really want to go to an amusement park! Naa... When Yuto would go with us, he'd be the tallest of us all, they'll be thinking he's the older brother... Oh well (laughs).
What do have these two in common?
Kamenashi: What bloodtype does Yamada have?
Yamada: Type B.
Kamenashi: Ah, me too.
Yamada: I really want to get away from my standard type B. (B Type people are known as very polite people who don't usually speak up their mind)
Kamenashi: No no, you shouldn't say it like that Yamada-kun~ (laughs)
Yamada: But I'm at a disadvantage! (laughs) A while ago, I thought it was normal to have such a large amount of work.
Kamenashi: Yeah sure. So in the future you will always something to discuss!
Yamada: Thank you very much! All thanks to the dependable senpais.
Kamenashi: A while ago I was told I love to take a a break betweens shootings and I thought that was normal. (laughs)
Yamada: Those are the best! (laughs)
Kamenashi: That was a good unexpected interation.
Yamada: I'm also very happy.
How are these two people within the group?
Yamada: When I see KAT-TUN wearing something black I get that cool feeling. I want to sing more adult-like songs. It feels like there is a strictly adult feeling around them. Also KAT-TUN has a real adult image.
Kamenashi: I think think I'm particularly aware of it. On there other hand, I think Hey!Say!JUMP can have an adult image too, when everyone is fully and adult -agreeing with Kame here-
Yamada: Really?
Kamenashi: I'll sing~ (And he starts singing Mayonaka no Shadow Boy)
Yamada: I'm really happy!
Kamenashi: How ever it might get a little odd so just do your best (laughs). Now, tell us in the POTATO, what would you like?
Yamada: I hope we could sing in each others group costumes. (laughs)
Kamenashi: That I will be wearing a JUMP costume~
Yamada: I'll dress as myself (laughs).

Today was the first time I could speak so openly to Kamenashi-kun, and I found out you're a really common guy! Also. I have been thinking the advice he gives is really good, it makes me happy. Thank you! I will cherish your honest words. I hope we can speak more in the future. Also, good luck on your stageplay "Dream Boys" that is starting in 9 Januari. I'll be looking forward to it!

For today Yamada was "I don't want to be a child anymore." When we were talking I thought that was actually quite difficult. Maa, I think it'll work out in the future, so I'll wish you good luck!
